Seeing as how I started Disney month with his wife, it felt appropriate to feature Peter next. Well, Peter and his duet partner Alex G. This is an a cappella medley, so everything you hear is coming from Peter and Alex. I really enjoy the way their voices sound together and they play off each other very well too. That makes it more fun to watch.
But did they live up to the epic part of the title? I'd say so. From the costuming to the filming locations to the boxes featuring their harmonizing selves, it's very appealing, visually speaking. They picked a great group of songs so it's a treat for the ears as well. Watch.
This was one of the first Peter videos I ever watched and I think this is the video that introduced me to Alex G. It's got to be one of my most watched videos of Peter's. I've determined that I could listen to Peter sing just about anything, but when he sings Disney, that's usually on a different level. His voice is so well suited for it. As is Alex G's.
I like the entire video, but the "Under the Sea" part has to be my favorite to watch. It puts a smile on my face and I usually find myself dancing along with it. I feel like I'm probably not alone on that front. It's so much fun. Then to go from there to "Beauty and the Beast" which I'd say is one of my favorite parts, vocally speaking. Especially the way they go into "Circle of Life". I like the way the song built up to it. It seems like a bunch of the medleys I've seen stay relatively flat, never leading up to anything, and I find that boring. Sometimes it's the song choices themselves, other times the problem could be fixed by messing with the dynamics more. Or at all. So I appreciate it whenever a medley or song leads up to some kind of big moment. There's a reason why so many Disney songs do that. Are there any Disney songs that don't do that?
I knew that following Evynne's video was going to be a challenge for whoever came next and I do believe that Peter and Alex met it.
Like them and what to keep up with what they're both doing? I got you covered.
